​Be a part of Leesville High School forever and the Alumni Association is selling commemorative bricks that will be placed at the entrances to the new Leesville High School. As alumni, you can purchase bricks for yourselves, for other alumni, or in memory of alumni. The money raised will be used for scholarships and other projects for LHS. Bricks are now $35 each. You may mail in your brick form with payment.

We hope you are enjoying the new webpage. We are reminding you that this webpage and the Leesville High School Alumni Facebook page are the only official Wampus Cats sites on the World Wide Web. There are other sites purporting to be Wampus Cats or Leesville High School alumni pages. These are commercial websites and are not supported by the LHS Alumni Association. If you join one of them, you are not part of the official Wampus Cat/LHS Alumni Association. We are a non-profit group. The alumni who work for you are all volunteers. No one is paid.

Cookbooks, with more than 400 recipes contributed by alumni, will be on sale on Friday at the coffee and the luncheon.  They are $20.  You can also request one to be mailed. The cost is $25.

All bricks that were ordered before the July 1st, 2022 deadline have been installed. We are hoping to have those that were ordered by the July 1st, 2023 deadline installed by Homecoming 2023. 

Homecoming 2023 is scheduled for October 20th and 21st.

The Leesville High School Alumni Association is proud to announce Keith Zinger as the 2023 nominee for induction into the LHS Alumni Association Sports Hall of Fame. Keith will join Wampus Cat greats Kevin Mawae, Eddie Fuller, Ted Paris, Richard Reese, Robert Gaines, Terry Holt, Grant Westerchil, Holly Wentz-Reeves, TB Porter, Demond Mallet, Greg Fontenot, Nikita Wilson, and Foster Thomas in the Hall of Fame.


Keith is a 2003 graduate of LHS who had a very successful athletic career while at LHS as a multi-sport athlete. He participated in football and track. In football Keith was a three-time all-district tight end. He was also selected twice to the All-State team. He is one of only two Wampus Cats to achieve that honor. Keith was a member of Wampus Cat teams that advanced to the LHSAA playoffs. During his career at LHS, he had 48 receptions for 894 yards. Keith also achieved success as a member of the LHS Track Team. For three years he placed at regionals in shot put and discus. As a senior he was a state finalist in the shot put.


Keith was highly recruited out of high school by several colleges. He chose to attend Louisiana State University, where he was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. He was also honored to be one of two players to have had playing time in two national championship games in LSU history. His career included starting in more than 40 LSU games. Keith was a two-time recipient of the Bengal Belles' Unsung Hero Award as well as a recipient of the SEC Academic Award.


After graduating from LSU, Keith was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. He spent three years with the team.

Keith and his wife, Ashley, also a 2003 graduate of LHS, live in Lake Charles. He is the father of two children, Jackson, 14, and Rylan, 12. He is a franchise owner of Little Ceasar’s and Jersey Mike’s in Lake Charles.


Keith will serve as Grand Marshall of the Homecoming Parade. He will be introduced at the Homecoming Assembly, honored at the alumni luncheon on Friday, October 20, and Friday evening just prior to the football game at Wampus Cat Stadium.
